Philosophy Revolution Cleaners opened for business in 2004 with the intention of raising the cleaning standard in both service and process. We introduced a new cleaning technology and became Denver’s only true environmentally friendly dry cleaner. We are firmly committed to serving our customers and the environment in the best way possible. That philosophy shows in our dedication to customer satisfaction, quality service and through our sustainable business practices:

Our Technology At Revolution Cleaners, we use liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) as the primary cleaning method. And for certain water-soluble stains and fabrics, we use a high-tech wet washing system. These are the only two toxin-free systems currently available and considered environmentally-preferable by the EPA. Our dry cleaning process uses naturally occurring and reclaimed CO2 as the cleaning solution. Under pressure, CO2 becomes an odorless, non-toxic liquid with unparalleled cleaning characteristics. Consumer studies rate CO2 as the best dry-cleaning method on the market. And it’s as natural as the air we exhale. It’s non-hazardous and non-flammable. It’s better for your clothes, better for the earth and it’s the same price as traditional full-service cleaning-without the nasty chemicals and fumes. |

Better for your clothes CO2 has excellent cleaning properties and dissolves stains as well or better than the toxic substances other cleaners use. We naturally clean delicate fabrics such as leather, down, silk, beads, sequins, wool, Spandex and nylon. Plus no heat is involved in the process, so clothes last longer and feel softer. In addition, without heat, stains aren’t set and stain removal is still possible after treatment. And best of all, your clothes won’t ever have that chemical dry cleaning smell! |

Better for the Earth It’s never been easier to be “green”. Simply by changing your drycleaner you can do your small part. The vast majority of dry cleaners use a hazardous substance called perchloroethylene (PERC) to clean clothes. The EPA lists it as a probable carcinogen and it is a known pollutant. Dry cleaners now rank up there with gas stations as common hazardous waste sites. In fact, PERC is so bad that the entire state of California recently banned it and Massachusetts, New York and Texas are also considering a ban click here. A few self-proclaimed “environmental” cleaners use a chemical solvent called Green Earth, but even that solvent is a silicone-based product that is combustible and potentially carcinogenic. In fact, GreenEarth has been shown to cause cancer in rats and affect liver functioning in human studies. On the other hand, the solvents we use-liquid CO2 and water-are completely safe. CO2 is the gas that all animals exhale and that plants breathe in. It’s the same gas that bubbles up in soft drinks and beer. CO2 is part of the natural cycle of the planet. Furthermore, the CO2 we use is captured as a by-product of existing industrial processes, thereby utilizing exhaust that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Revolution is also proud to use renewable energy sources as part of our total operation. We use clean burning alternative fuels in our vans and easily renewable materials in our stores. Our renewable energy program is supplied by Renewable Choice Energy's Clean Source mix. Which means we are not only supporting the growth of wind power, but other renewable energy sources as well. The mix can be comprised of varying percentages of wind, biomass, geothermal and small-scale hydro power. |
